Description:
Crenshaw Consulting Engineers, Inc. provided the plumbing, mechanical, and
electrical engineering designs for this LEED Gold certified full service bank branch
building for Capital Bank. There are a number of Green and sustainable design
features through out the building; from recycled denim insulation in the walls to
motion sensor lighting controls that with Daylight harvesting maximizes lighting
efficiency. The HVAC system is comprised of a combination of high efficiency
split-system heat pumps along with increased zoning and humidity controls that
allow for maximum occupant comfort. Our plumbing design realized a 40% water
reduction and the roof top solar panels are designed to produce 11% of the buildings
power usage.
