Description:
UNC’s New Chatham Park Medical Office Building is a single story, 25,000 SF medical office building that houses a Radiology Suite, Rehabilitation Suite, Laboratory and other medical offices. Crenshaw Consulting Engineers designed the electrical, fire alarm, mechanical and plumbing systems for the shell building and fit ups as well as preliminary bid documents/pricing sets along with approving and reviewing shop drawings. This project was designed to LEED design specifications. Crenshaw Consulting’s sister company Facility Performance Consulting commissioned the project. The mechanical system is comprised of two 35 ton rooftop VAV systems with energy recovery ventilation. The project was modeled and designed to meet the requirements of 20% improvement over the ASHRAE 90.1-2007.
