Description:
Crabtree Valley Mall, Raleigh, NC: Is a regional mall built in 1972 that is 1.3 million SF, the largest enclosed mall in the Triangle Area. Crabtree Valley Mall contains over 220 stores and is anchored by Hudson Belk, Sears, and Macy’s. The mall is also home to several high end restaurants which included The Cheesecake Factor, P.F. Chang’s, and Khanki. Crenshaw Consulting Engineers, Inc. has been continually providing plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm engineering designs for the mall since 2000. Our design experience at Crabtree Valley Mall includes providing engineering designs for hundreds of renovation, new construction, and maintenance projects throughout the entire mall. We are an active member of the team that is involved with maintaining, renovating, and expanding Crabtree Valley Mall.
Examples of our Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Alarm Engineer Design Projects at Crabtree Valley Mall:
MEP engineering design for the replacement of 2 roof mounted Cooling Towers (700 tons each) they serve the 2nd floor Belk Men’s Department Store, as well as several tenants on the 1st floor Center Court South area of the Mall. The cooling tower replacements included a new chilled water pumping system for both the new chiller and an existing chiller, new chilled water control valves for two existing air handlers, new chilled water piping routed down to the 1stfloor level for tenant use and complete DDC controls.
MEP engineering for the renovation of Kanki Japanese Steak House involving rerouting of grease exhaust duct for 25 exhaust hoods. Hoods were located on the bottom floor of a 2-story mall building. Renovation also included addition of a new service elevator.
Designed MEP for a 7,500 SF high end restaurant named PF Chang which was a new addition to the mall.
MEP engineering design for The Cheese Cake Factory which was a new addition to mall.
Engineering designs for the addition of several new parking decks.
Fire Alarm for hundreds of new merchant fit ups as they continue to add new stores and replace merchants to the mall.
