Description:
Park West Village is a new metropolitan lifestyle center located in Morrisville, NC that will include a dynamic town center with major retail anchors, top-tier restaurants and state of the are cineplex. In addition to retail, the 100 acre development will include 30 buildings of residential, office and hospitality components ranging between 3 to 5 stories tall and expanding to over 1,000,000 SF. Crenshaw Consulting Engineers designed shell plumbing and electrical systems for larger anchor stores in addition to smaller retail spaces. Our electrical design consisted of exterior building lighting and power distribution. Plumbing designs included of sewer and water distribution, roof drainage, and grease traps where future restaurants usage was likely.
In addition to shell design for the retail buildings, Crenshaw Consulting Engineers also provided plumbing, mechanical, and electrical designs for the 5 story office building and a 3 story mixed use building. Mechanical designs for the office building consisted of VAV packaged rooftop units with a combination of parallel and series powered fan boxes. Electrial designs consisted of power distribution, lighting and power in common areas, location of fire alarm devices, and designs for data distribution. Our plumbing designs consisted of water, sewer, and venting distribution as well as roof drainage. Interior roof drains and scuppers were used for roof
draining and condensate risers were for condos. The mechanical designs that we provided for the mixed use facility consisted of seperate split-system heat pumps with auxiliary electric heat to condition each individual condo, and a combination of packaged rooftop units and Daikin VRV units to serve the common areas.
